Venecia was I think the only person that really believed in me when I told her I wanted to reset my career and start from scratch in a new industry. Baja Nearshore, her company, constantly has opportunities for those wanting to break into internet companies in roles of sales or customer service and even some mid-senior level opportunities.

Venecia and her people stood by me as I went through several interview processes, four of them, but who’s counting right? 😅 Turns out it was harder to convince those hiring about my seriousness and commitment to my new career path. And the whole “not having relevant experience” didn’t help. I cannot begin to explain how demotivating those three first interviews were to me. But through the whole process I was supported and motivated by Venecia not to give up and to be hopeful as something good would eventually show up. Even though in all seriousness at that time I didn’t think it would.

Finally, and out of nowhere, the fourth time was a charm. And I couldn’t be happier because I ended up in a great workspace with great people.
